Definition of clinical entities associated with CH
Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) |
• Presence of somatic mutation(s) in gene(s) associated with hematologic malignancies |
• Normal hemogram |
• No clinical of pathological evidence of hematologic malignancy |
Age-related clonal hematopoiesis (ARCH) |
• Any CH associated with aging |
Clonal cytopenia of undetermined significance (CCUS) |
• Presence of somatic mutation(s) in gene(s) associated with hematologic malignancies |
• Presence of clinically relevant and persistent cytopenia in 1 or more peripheral blood cell lineages |
• Diagnostic criteria of myeloid neoplasm not fulfilled |
• No other causes of cytopenia and molecular aberration |
Idiopathic cytopenia of undetermined significance (ICUS) |
• Presence of clinically relevant and persistent cytopenia in 1 or more peripheral blood cell lineages |
• Not explained by any other disease |
• Diagnostic criteria of myeloid neoplasm not fulfilled |
