The PGSs are defined in Table 3. χ2 values were calculated by subtracting the deviance of the larger model with more independent variables from that of the smaller model and were used to calculate P values. The −α3.7 status was not available for the SAC cohort. df, degree of freedom; ND, not determined. NA, not applicable.
A total of 1095 longitudinal RBC %HbF values were available for 284 of 327 SCCRIP participants analyzed for VOP event occurrence. These %HbF data were used in the %HbF model and the %HbF + HbF SNP model.
