D-dimer level at index: high, ≥4 µg/mL FEU; low to moderate, <4 µg/mL FEU.
Defined as at least 1 dose of asparaginase during 100 days after study index, before censorship.
Reference range for laboratory variables: D-dimer, <0.40 µg/mL FEU; platelet count, 150 to 450 × 109/L; fibrinogen, 180 to 409 mg/dL; and PT, 11.8 to 14.4 seconds.
