Values are medians and the interquartile range. Data on D-dimer, ESR, and ferritin were log or transformed due to nonnormal distributions of the raw data. Although transformed values were used to determine statistical significance, summary statistics of raw values are found in the table. Values in bold are statistically significant. Normal ranges are as follows: platelets (150-450 × 103/μL), D-dimer (<0.5 μg/mL), fibrinogen (200-400 mg/dL), ESR (0-20 mm/h), and ferritin (24-336 ng/mL). Pain scores range from 0 to 10. Values for QOL total, physical, and psychosocial range from 0 to 100.
