Primary leukemia cells freshly isolated from 25 patients with CLL were treated with various concentrations of 2-ME alone or in combination with 0.5 μg/mL ATO for 72 hours. The IC₅₀values were determined by MTT assay. P < .0001 was obtained when these 2 groups were compared using a nonparametric test.
