Monocytes and T cells from healthy subjects with wild-type P2X7 were purified by positive selection using MACS beads. Purified monocytes (2 × 107/mL), purified T cells (2 × 107/mL), and PBMCs (2 × 107/mL) were incubated with or without 1 mM ATP for 60 minutes. Supernatants were collected, and MMP-9 concentrations (ng/mL) were measured by ELISA (as shown in the table).
