FL-DCs were sorted into PDCs and conventional DCs (greater than 97% purity) as described in “Materials and methods” and were stimulated with ICs formed with U1snRNP (20 μg/mL) and anti-Sm antibody (100 μg/mL) for 36 hours. IFN-α and IL-6 were measured in the supernatants by ELISA. The mIFN-α ELISA kit from PBL Laboratories was used in these experiments. Results of 3 independent experiments are shown. d.l. indicates detection limit.
