The percentage of clonogenicity (colony number at day 6/number of seeded cells) was determined in methylcellulose assay with 500 cells seeded in 1 mL medium in the presence of 500 ng/mL dox (Dox+) or without (Dox−). Colonies containing a minimum of 50 cells were scored. The percentage of clonogenicity in the treated and the untreated respective cells were statistically different (P < .05) as calculated by the Student t test. The percentage of reduction is calculated relative to untreated cells. Results are the mean of 6 independent experiments.
