After lethal irradiation, WT C57BL/6 mice (n = 3) received 5 × 106 BM cells and 15 × 106 splenocytes from WT BALB/c mice. After 7 to 16 days, donor H2Kd+H2Kb−CD4+ and H2Kd+H2Kb−CD8+ T cells were sorted from pooled spleen cells, and the relative expression of A2AAR mRNA was determined by quantitative real-time RT-PCR, normalized to β-actin mRNA, and then compared with that of T cells sorted from nontreated BALB/c mice (n = 3). Three independent experiments were performed.

Lethally irradiated WT C57BL/6 mice (n = 6) received 5 × 106 BM cells and 1 × 106 CD4+/CD8+ splenic T cells from a BALB/c donor. Twelve days after transplantation, the relative expression of AR mRNA in liver and small and large intestine was determined by quantitative real-time PCR, normalized to β2-microglobulin, and then compared with that of intestines from untreated C57BL/6 mice (n = 6). Data are mean ± SD.

Expression increased in some experiments and decreased in others.
