Percentages of embryos injected with the reagents indicated in Figure 3A-Bii demonstrating normal, slow, or no circulation
Circulation . | None . | Slow . | Normal . | N . | n . |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Control | 0% | 0% | 100% | 3 | 269 |
ZNF24 mRNA | 20.3% | 6.9% | 72.8% | 3 | 246 |
VEGF MO | 26.5% | 13.1% | 60.4% | 3 | 268 |
Circulation . | None . | Slow . | Normal . | N . | n . |

VEGF MO | 26.5% | 13.1% | 60.4% | 3 | 268 |
Both the ZNF24 mRNA- and VEGF MO–injected groups demonstrated significantly greater percentages of embryos with impaired circulation compared with control embryos (ZNF24 mRNA: χ2 = 84.2, P < .0001; VEGF MO: χ2 = 132.6, P < .0001 using Pearson chi-square tests).
N indicates the number of experimental repeats; and n, the total number of embryos injected.
