A total of 3 × 103 allogeneic CD34+ cells cultured in the presence of colony-stimulating factors were incubated in medium with (preincubation +) or without (control) 3 × 104 NT4.2 cells for 4 hours and then mixed with methylcellulose medium for colony assay. In some experiments, CD34+ cells were mixed with NT4.2 cells just before addition to methylcellulose medium (preincubation −). Data are expressed as mean ± standard error of duplicate cultures.
