No significant difference was noted with respect to age, sex, treatment arm, β2-microglobulin, percent plasma cells in the bone marrow, PICP, PIINP, osteocalcin, CRP, IL-6 receptor, creatinine, s–M-protein concentration, or stage. Concentrations are expressed as medians with 25 and 75 percentiles in parentheses.
