Table 5.

Effects of Suboptimal Concentration of Ionomycin on T-Cell Adhesive and Migratory Ability and Surface Expression of the Integrin Activation Reporter Epitope Recognized by the 24 MoAb

Medium Ionomycin (50 nmol/L)
Adherent T cells
 Percentage  24.2 ± 5  17.5 ± 44-150
 Expression of 24 epitope (MFI)  112.4 ± 25  44.9 ± 74-150
Migrated T cells
 Percentage  4.4 ± 2  1.7 ± 14-150
 Expression of 24 epitope (MFI)  174.3 ± 34 86.2 ± 204-150
Medium Ionomycin (50 nmol/L)
Adherent T cells
 Percentage  24.2 ± 5  17.5 ± 44-150
 Expression of 24 epitope (MFI)  112.4 ± 25  44.9 ± 74-150
Migrated T cells
 Percentage  4.4 ± 2  1.7 ± 14-150
 Expression of 24 epitope (MFI)  174.3 ± 34 86.2 ± 204-150

Data are expressed as the mean ± SEM of five separate experiments. The basal MFI of 24 epitope (29.8 ± 8) on resting T cells did not change after incubation with 50 nmol/L ionomycin for 30 minutes (31.1 ± 9, not significant).
