Primary CLL cells from patients 1 to 7 were isolated and incubated with either 1.0, 2.5, and 5.0 μM rGel or 1.0, 2.5, and 5.0 nM rGel/BLyS for 72 hours and pulsed with [3H]leucine for 1 hour. At the end of incubation, the leucine incorporation into protein was measured. The values are expressed as percentage of control (untreated) cells.
