Contingency tables (2 × 2) containing the absolute numbers (and percentages) of Atm+/+ and Atm−/− total thymocytes scored in each category. Thymocyte cell counts were pooled together by genotype for each category, and the probability (P) that the observed differences were statistically significant was determined by a standard chi-square test. The C = 0 category was omitted because thymocytes lacking both TcraC signals were not found in either Atm+/+ or Atm−/− thymi. Note that the V ≤ 2 versus V > 2 comparison revealed no statistically significant differences between the 2 genotypes.
