Thymic lobes from fetal day 14 SCID mice were organ-cultured in the presence of IL-7. After 12 days of culture, cells from thymic lobes were counted, cytospun onto slides, and stained with anti–MHC class II MoAbs. Percentages of MHC class II+ cells exhibiting DC morphology were obtained scoring 5,000 cells in 5 to 7 cytospin preparations. The results represent means ± SEM of three independent experiments.
