B-CLL cells were resuspended in triplicate samples at 1 × 106/mL in RPMI-1640 medium supplemented with 5% FCS and incubated for 48 hours with or without 10 μg/mL of anti-CD23 MoAb (MoAb135) and in the presence or absence of L-NAME (1 mmol/L). At the end of the culture, the percentages of apoptotic cells were assessed with the ApoAlert kit, according to the manufacturer's specifications. Data are from one representative experiment out of four.
