B6 mice were administered irrelevant IgG or αCD48 MoAb (300 μg/dose) IP on days 0, 3, and 7. On day 9, three mice per group were individually analyzed for the absolute number of cells present in the BM and spleen compartments. Flow cytometric analysis was performed to determine the absolute number of CD4+, CD8+, B220+, Mac1+, and CD48+ cells (listed according to the level of surface expression) present in each compartment. A representative example of the flow cytometry for CD48 expression is shown in Fig 3. Values expressed are the mean values × 10−6 ± 1 SEM.
