Wells were initiated with single CD34+CD38neg cells and grown 10 days in low GF without or with MS-5 cells.
Among 65 wells with MS-5, 18 wells were grown with 10% serum, and 47 wells in serum-free conditions. At day 10, proliferating wells were divided into 10 replicates each further cultured in standard LTC-IC conditions.
Numbers refer to the number of wells containing greater than 1 CFC at week 5. Numbers in brackets represent the proportion of LTC-IC–positive clones with the indicated number of positive replicates.
