Cells (20 × 104/mL) were cultured in 2% FCS/RPMI1640 in the presence of 20 μmol/L cell-permeable ceramide for the indicated periods. C2-dehydroceramide was used as a negative control.
MTT assay was performed according to the method described by Mosmann.41 Data are expressed as the mean ± SD of triplicate cultures.
