Platelets obtained from mice were activated with thrombin (0.5 U/mL) or with phorbol myristate acetate (PMA; 10−7mol/L), and the fraction (%) expressing P-selectin or binding antifibrinogen antibody were determined by flow cytometry, as described in Materials and Methods. The mean ± SEM is shown. The data represent only those platelets or platelet-like particles that bind 2D5, an MoAb that exclusively identifies platelets in normal mouse blood.
