The data represent the mean (± SD) of either 3 (growth factor [GF] starvation), 5 (immunomagnetic selection), or 3 (cell sorting) purifications, each one starting with 2 PHZ-treated spleens. Nonfluorescent cells were > 90% T lymphocytes or neutrophils on reanalysis of immunoselected or cell sorter cell fractions, respectively.
