The measurements are given as ng/10⁵ cells. hMVECs were cultured on gelatin-coated wells for 72 hours in normoxic and hypoxic conditions in M199 supplemented with 10% HS and were stimulated with 10 ng/ml TNF-α or 10 ng/mL each FGF-2 + TNF-α or not (control). After the incubation period the uPA, tPA, and PAI-1 antigen levels were determined by ELISA and described and expressed as ng/10⁵ cells. The data represent the mean plus or minus SD of 9 cultures in 3 independent experiments.

The asterisk indicates P < .05, which is significantly different from normoxia.
