Quantitation of eGFP+ donor CD4+ T cells in bm12 recipient mice

The SD is given as × ± 103 cells. Day 12 samples were not available (NA) from bm12 recipients after the transfer of MIP-1α−/− splenocytes, as all mice died by day 10 due to severe GVHD. The number of donor cells (eGFP+) CD4+ and CD8+ T cells was derived by multiplying the percent of those cells by flow cytometry by the total number of cells present in a comparable section of tissue. The total number of cells was counted manually using a hemocytometer. The data were pooled from 3 separate experiments using 3 bm1 and bm12 mice in each group. The data were expressed as the mean of donor CD4+ or CD8+ T cells, with SD for each organ. SD was analyzed using the Student t test.
