Supernatants from 6 myeloma cell lines were analyzed for the presence of syndecan-1 by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. In addition, the myeloma cells were stained by anti–syndecan-1 antibody B-B4 or an irrelevant antibody and analyzed by flow cytometry for the presence of syndecan-1 on the cell surface.
Detection limit 15 ng/mL.
