Uptake of fluorescently labeled, sterically stabilized liposomes by macrophages and by immature and mature dendritic cells

Mφ (d 9), immature DC (d 9, cultured in GM-CSF and IL-4 only), mature DC (d 9, cultured in MCM for the final 2 d) were incubated with HPTS-containing SL for 24 h at 37°C. HPTS-SL were washed out, and the fluorescence intensity was measured at excitation wavelengths of 405 and 450 nm. Data demonstrate 1 of 3 experiments yielding similar results.
