BMC indicates bone marrow cell; HSC, hematopoietic stem cell.

Recipients are 2- to 4-month-old, natural killer cell–depleted, lethally irradiated, male CByB6F1 mice. BMCs were pooled from 3 young (2- to 3-month-old) CXB-12 males (Gpi1a/Gpi1a) and competed with BMCs pooled from 3 young CByB6F1 males (Gpi1b/Gpi1b).

F3-150

For CByB6F1 competitors, HSC concentration is taken as 1 per 105 BMCs; repopulating ability per HSC is defined as 1.
