The PMNLs (5 × 106 in 1 mL PGC buffer) were preincubated at 45°C for 20 minutes, with SA and NaCl at 37°C for 3 min prior to 40 μM AA, or stimulated with ionophore, thapsigargin, PAF, and fMLP together with 40 μM AA. The samples were incubated at 37°C for another 5 minutes and 5-LO products were determined by HPLC. Results are given as mean + SE (n = 4).
