Both HK procoagulant activity and PK chromogenic activity of the patient samples were compared against a pool of normal human plasma which by convention has one U/mL HK and PK activity.
PK antigen was determined by radial immunodiffusion assay with comparison with a standardized pool of normal human plasma. The PK antigen concentration in this plasma is 39.5 μg/mL.25
