Lethally irradiated wild-type (WT) or E-selectin-deficient mice (E-/-) were injected with antibody-treated WT donor BM cells. CFU-Cs were determined from the recipient blood 3 hours after injection. The vast majority of CFU-Cs are rapidly cleared from the circulation but the clearance is significantly delayed when α4 integrin and/or selectins/ligands are inhibited. n = 5 to 6 mice per group.
