For each cell type, 10 nude mice were intravenously (tail) injected with 105 cells. Cells were treated for 5 days with or without IL-6 (100 ng/mL) prior to inoculation to mice.
Six weeks following inoculation, one mouse injected with each cell type was killed and the bone marrow was analyzed for the presence of myeloid leukemic cells.
