C57BL/6 females underwent BMT using congenic BM and LN populations as described in “Materials and methods” and in the legend to Figure 3. On day 29, lymphocyte progeny derived from each population were enumerated by flow cytometry. CD8 cells are defined as CD8αβ+ to avoid potential confounding results due to expansion of CD8αα+ DCs by flt3L; n = 8 animals per group. Median values are shown. Similar results were seen in 3 separate experiments.—Represents subpopulations that were below the limit of detection.
