Gene expression profiles were performed using microarray assay. Based on EASE score, these genes grouped as signal transduction, oncogene and tumor suppressor, cell cycle regulator, and apoptosis were indicated dysregulated in both monosomy 7 and trisomy 8 MDS patients, whereas genes involved in immune and inflammatory roles and cell growth and maintenance were frequently found to be overexpressed in trisomy 8 and monosomy 7 patients, respectively.
