Chromosomal rearrangements were investigated by MLL and HOXA FISH and Southern blot, and by CALM-AF10 RT-PCR. MLL partners were further identified in MLL-rearranged cases as described in “Materials and methods.” In addition, deletion of the CDKN2A (CDKN2A/INK4A/ARF) gene was analyzed by FISH.

These cases were classified as HOXA-related considering their HOXA dysregulated pattern and frequent coclustering with the TCRB-HOXA rearranged cases
