Production of IFN-γ and IL-4 by PBMCs stimulated with PMA and ionomycin

PBMCs (50 000 cells/well) obtained from 5 control subjects and 8 patients after transplantation were stimulated in vitro for 3 days with PMA 10 ng/mL and ionomycin 750 ng/mL. Values are mean ± SE of supernatant IFN-γ levels (pg/mL) as measured by specific ELISA. IL-4 levels were below the limit of detection of the ELISA for all samples analyzed.
