Mean values ± SE of results obtained with seven TEC cultures at the third passage derived from different donors. TEC were devoid of dendritic or thymocyte contaminants as assessed by microscopic examination of 5 × 102 cells stained with anti-CD1 and -CD2 MoAbs (not shown).
Not used for functional studies.
Mean values are referred to five positive cultures of the seven tested.
