The animals treated with HeFi-1 at a dose of 100 μg weekly for 4 weeks had decreased serum values of sIL-2Rα (P < .01) and prolonged survival (P < .01) when compared with the mice in the control group. Daclizumab treatment also prolonged the survival of the mice as compared with that in the control group (P < .05) and reduced the serum concentration of sIL-2Rα, although the difference in serum sIL-2Rα levels between the daclizumab treatment group and the control group was not statistically significant at day 21.
