Recruitment of αIIbβ3 integrin at focal adhesion sites. Cells were allowed to adhere on immobilized fibrinogen (in the presence of 10 μg/mL mAb LM609) at 37°C for 1 hour in the presence or absence of 1 mM DTT, followed by fixation and staining with antivinculin and anti-αIIb mAb PT25–2 conjugated with Alexa Fluor 488 as described in “Cell spreading and microscopy.” The stained cells were subjected to confocal microscopy.
