Catheter-directed thrombolysis reduces moderate/severe postthrombotic syndrome in IFDVT. This forest plot was derived from a meta-analysis of all patients in the CaVenT trial and the subgroup of patients with IFDVT in the ATTRACT trial using a fixed-effect model (Review Manager, version 5.3; Copenhagen: The Nordic Cochrane Centre, The Cochrane Collaboration, 2014).22,23,25 The outcome of interest was long-term moderate/severe PTS, reported at 5 years in CaVenT and 2 years in ATTRACT. CDT and anticoagulation (AC) reduced the incidence of moderate to severe PTS in patients with IFDVT compared with AC alone (risk ratio, 0.61; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.43-0.86, P = .005).
