Phenotypic characteristics of EPO-stimulated cells.

CD34⁺ cells were plated at 1 × 10⁴ cells/mL and cultured in medium containing 5 U/mL EPO, with (○ and ■) or without (● and ▪) the addition of 20 μg/mL NU-L_PAN. After 5 or 8 days in culture, the expressions of CD34 (A) and glycophorin A (B) were analyzed. The concentration of hemoglobin in the cultured cells was measured after 8 days in culture (C).
