PML-RAR causes leukemias in mice.

Leukemia-free survival curves of mice reinoculated with lin⁻ cells from control (not infected or infected with the empty vector), RAR, and PML-RAR–expressing cells. Continuous line indicates PML-RAR mice; long dashes, uninfected; medium dashes, empty vector; short dashes, RAR. The control curves overlap, because none of the recipient mice developed leukemias.
