MRI findings for case 2. / Multifocal areas of signal hyperintensity predominantly limited to the cortex of the posterior parietal and occipital lobes on FLAIR T2-weighted images, including punctate areas of abnormality in the deep, periventricular white matter of the right frontal lobe and of the cortex of the right medial parietal lobe. MRI done 1 month following discharge revealed punctate lesions in the frontal lobe, representing subacute to chronic ischemic changes, but resolution of the T2 hyperintense lesions in the posterior distribution.
