Effect of cytokines on cellular expression of DMT-1 and ferroportin.

Cells were left untreated (control) or stimulated with IFN-γ (100 U/mL) and LPS (10 μg/mL) for 20 hours following preincubation with IL-10 (10 ng/mL) for 2 hours or not. Cells were fixed to cytospin slides and incubated with either anti–DMT-1 or anti–ferroportin-1(FP-1) antiserum as described in “Materials and methods.” Shown is 1 of 3 experiments.
