Effect of L-fucose therapy on rolling in vivo of LADII neutrophils in cremasteric venules of NOD/SCID mice.
Neutrophils purified from a healthy donor or the LADII patient were fluorescently labeled and injected through the carotid artery into NOD/SCID mice prepared for intravital microscopy of the cremaster muscle. (A) The percentage of interacting LADII neutrophils obtained on days 0 and 8 of treatment was greatly reduced compared with that of neutrophils from a healthy donor. On day 16, however, a sharp increase in the number of interactions of the patient's neutrophils was detected.
