Staining patterns of mitochondria in PMNs.

PMNs were incubated for 6 hours without additions (No stimulus), with 20 ng/mL TNF-α, with 150 μM zVAD-fmk, or with the TNF-α/zVAD-fmk combination. Then the cells were stained with MitoTracker GreenFM and analyzed with CLSM. Each image represents the following proportion of the total cell population (mean ± SEM): 73.8% ± 8.9% in No stimulus; 66.7% ± 5.4% in TNF-α; 89.0% ± 4.3% in zVAD-fmk; 77.0% ± 3.6% in TNF-α/zVAD-fmk.
