The numbers of marrow and blood stem cell recipients studied were 37 and 42 before transplantation, 35 and 37 on day 80, 28 and 36 on day 180, and 27 and 31 on day 365, respectively, for polio. For tetanus, H influenzae and S pneumoniae, the numbers of donors studied were 19 and 18, and recipients studied were 18 and 18 before transplantation, 16 and 12 on day 80, 15 and 11 on day 180, and 14 and 9 on day 365, respectively.
