A1-a protects thymocytes from spontaneous and induced apoptosis.

Panels A-C represent separate experiments. Thymocytes from wild-type (WT) and A1-a Tg littermates were cultured for 1 day (A,C) or 16 hours (B) either in control medium (Ctrl) or in the presence of dexamethasone (Dex), αFas with or without cycloheximide (CH), or ionomycin (iono), or were irradiated prior to culture. Apoptosis was determined as percent hypodiploid nuclei by flow cytometry. Each bar represents the mean ± SEM for one mouse.
