E10.5 embryo (A) and yolk sac (B) cells at 10 000 cells/mL and adult bone marrow cells (C) at 50 000 cells/mL were plated in the progenitor assay (as described in “Materials and methods”) in the presence or absence of 50 ng/mL Tpo. *P < .05, −Tpo compared with +Tpo.
