Plasma levels of transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGFβ₁) early following thermal injury in platelet-deficient mice. Anticoagulated whole blood was collected by cardiac puncture and plasma was prepared. Circulating levels of plasma TGFβ₁ were determined at 1.5 hours following thermal injury for the groups CTL-Ig Sham (n = 8; open bars), CTL-Ig Burn (n = 12; dark gray bars), αPLT-Ig Sham (n = 8; light gray bars), and PLT-Ig Burn (n = 12; filled bars).
