Representative examples of LMO2 immunostaining in lymphomas show LMO2 expression in Burkitt, DLBCL, precursor T-acute lymphoblastic lymphoma, and lymphocyte-predominant (LP) Hodgkin lymphoma, whereas it is absent in extranodal marginal-zone lymphoma and classical Hodgkin lymphoma. Among leukemias, immature blasts in an example of acute myeloid leukemia (AML; M4) and acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (AML; M7) show LMO2 staining. A case of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) shows LMO2 staining in micromegakaryocytes and in a subset of early myeloid precursors but not in mature neutrophils.
